PROOFREADING

I read over your project, identify and mark errors, then return it to you. I should be the last step in your project before it is ready for the world to see.

If you are happy with the written content of your project but want another set of eyes to check for errors and typos, proofreading is what you want.

A proofreader identifies and corrects the following areas:

Misspelled words
Typos
Grammatical errors
Punctuation errors
Formatting errors

COPYEDITING

Similar to proofreading, I read over your project, identify and mark errors, as well as provide suggestions for re-writes and fact-checking content accuracy and consistency.

If you want help with sentence structure, word choice, and someone to review your project for errors, copyediting is what you want.

A copyeditor reviews and refines the following:

Grammar
Punctuation
Spelling
Accuracy of timeline/events
Sequencing of chapter and page numbers
Fact-checking
Accuracy of actions (for embedded links)
Double-checking table of contents, index, footnotes, and/or bibliography
Sentence structure and word choice
